Welcome to English for International Students !

This course is designed to help you improve both your written and your spoken English. You may be familiar with some of the content. That is excellent! You can use it to review what you already know. Occasionally, the course may go too fast for you. That is okay, too. Take what you can, repeating each lesson as often as you want to gain more confidence with the English language. It doesn't matter if your goal is to improve your writing, reading, or speaking. You can work on what you need the most. Almost everyone needs to improve all of those areas, regardless whether English is your native language or not! I look forward to hearing what you have to say, reading what you write, and sharing new ideas through reading in English for International Students.

Objectives

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• read, write, and pronounce frequently used words
• demonstrate a wider breadth and depth of English vocabulary
• determine the main idea and supporting details in paragraphs
• describe relationships among paragraphs
• become more fluent in hearing, speaking, and writing the English language
